GLOCAL's National Youth Service Network (NYSN) is an online volunteer program that aims to encourage digital civic engagement among Canadian youth aged 15-30. This program, funded by the Government of Canada under the Canada Service Corps, offers opportunities for youth to develop digital skills and gain valuable experience that can strengthen democratic participation within their communities.
Youth Participant Responsibilities:
Flexibility: All program activities and workshops are conducted online and can be completed at a flexible pace.
Service Hours: Youth participants are expected to complete a minimum of 120 service hours by February 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
Youth participants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with refugee status.
Eligible individuals fall within the age range of 15 to 30 years.
The overarching goal of the NYSN program is to promote volunteerism and foster digital civic engagement among eligible Canadian youth."
